Amazigh {North Africa} Tiffinagh letters pattern joggers
Amazigh {North Africa} Tiffinagh letters pattern joggers
CONCEPT:
“Amazigh”, (plural Imazighen), means “free people” in the Tamazight language who are the “indigenous” people of North Africa. Among outsiders, the more common – though incorrect – name for Imazighen is Berber, a term that is largely rejected by Imazighen for its negative connotations. It’s related to the word ‘barbarian’.
This design is inspired by the Tamazight language and Tifinagh script.
All-over print designed using different Tiffinagh scripts, traditional Amazigh tattoos scattered throughout, and "Yaas" (symbol of the "free people") in graffiti style.
