Tabla Embroidered Maroon Sweatshirt

Tabla Embroidered Maroon Sweatshirt
CONCEPT :
“Subhanallah” in Arabic means “God is perfect” or “Praised be God”, or “Glory to God."
Why did I choose Tablas?
Tablas are fascinating in both their origins and appeal. In India, their construction reflects a unique collaboration—Hindus craft the inner black core, while Muslims work on the leather components, as Hindus traditionally avoid leatherwork.
The word tabla likely comes from tabl, the Persian and Arabic word for drum.
Though rooted in Indian Classical Music, the tabla transcends genres, featuring in rock, hip-hop, jazz, and beyond.
I’ve been fortunate to witness performances by artists from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the West. Music, especially Hindustani, has always been a huge source of inspiration to me—fittingly, my name, Sangeetha, means “music” in Sanskrit, Hindi, and Urdu.
Out of all the Hindu deities, Lord Ganesha (my favorite) is the only one depicted playing the tabla.
“Subhan” is written in the "naskh" script and is read from the bottom up and right to left, with “Allah” on top. For the smaller drum “Allah” is written around the small blocks.
